
Dr. Nate Jacobson is an Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration at Utah Tech University, where he teaches in both the bachelor’s and master’s programs, including courses in healthcare operations, strategic management, leadership, and ethics. He earned his Ph.D. in Business in Healthcare Administration from Northcentral University and holds additional degrees from Weber State University and Utah Tech University (formerly Dixie State University).
Dr. Jacobson’s professional interests focus on healthcare leadership development, population health, and operations management, with an emphasis on applied learning that bridges classroom theory with real-world healthcare practice. He is passionate about preparing future healthcare leaders through experiential projects involving performance metrics, patient-centered care models, and community health initiatives.
Prior to his full-time faculty role, worked at Intermountain Health and the VA of Southern Nevada in the imaging departments and served as a clinical instructor at Intermountain Healthcare. He continues to collaborate with local health organizations to create meaningful learning and service opportunities for students.
