Kali Hunt, RDH, BSDH, MEd, is an Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene at Utah Tech University. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2011 and subsequently completed a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at Dixie State College in 2012. After nine years of clinical experience in private practice, Kali pursued a Master of Education in Instructional Design from Western Governors University, which she completed in 2020.
Kali is passionate about oral health and is a dedicated advocate for individuals with special healthcare needs. Since 2021, she has presented nationally at dental hygiene conferences. Her teaching responsibilities include Tooth Morphology and Tooth Morphology Lab, Dental Materials and Dental Materials Lab, Pain Control, Restorative Dental Hygiene I and II, and Global Studies, where she coordinates a dental hygiene humanitarian trip. She believes that education extends beyond the classroom and is committed to fostering a culture of lifelong learning among her students.
Kali’s commitment to the dental hygiene profession extends beyond academia. She has been actively involved with the Utah Dental Hygiene Association (UDHA) since graduating in 2011 and has served in multiple leadership roles, including President and Delegate. She currently serves on the Legislative Committee and has contributed to various committees throughout her career.
Outside of academia, Kali enjoys mountain biking, hiking, camping, and spending time with her family. She strives to connect her professional passions to everyday life and values helping students discover those same meaningful connections.
