Dr. David Thibault is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist. He began his nursing career at Utah Tech University, completing his undergraduate studies while working with adolescents in residential treatment settings. He later gained experience in multiple specialty areas within the hospital setting, fostering his commitment to trauma-informed care and the mental health needs of youth.
Dr. Thibault earned both his Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University, specializing in Pediatric Mental and Behavioral Health, and holds a certificate in Nursing Education. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Utah Tech University, teaches across several programs, and remains an active clinician.
His professional memberships include the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Utah Nurse Practitioners Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, the Utah Nurses Association, and the American Nurses Association. He is also an active author and peer reviewer for multiple professional journals, contributing to ongoing scholarship in nursing and pediatric mental health.
