Dr. Judy A. Scott is the Chair of the Department of Nursing in the College of Health Sciences. She holds a BSN and MSN from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV) and a Doctor of Education with a focus on Higher Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She has been a nurse since 1992, starting in General Pediatrics as well as Peds Oncology, Hematology, Intermediate Care, Intensive Care, and Emergency Care.
Education is her passion that she has pursued since 2000, first at the College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, then as the Associate Dean of Nursing at Salt Lake Community College and now here at Utah Tech University. Currently, she leads the large Department of Nursing with 5 programs: 1. CNA, 2. AASN completion, 3. Pre-Licensure BSN, 4. RN-BSN, and 5. MSN. The most exciting and fulfilling part of her profession is helping others; patients, students, faculty, and staff be their best selves and reach their goals.
