Vicki Welch

Vicki Welch

Dr. Welch is an educator and leader in nursing education. She currently serves as the MSN Program Director and an Assistant Professor at Utah Tech University in St. George, UT.

Dr. Welch brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence in nursing education and leadership. She teaches in the RN-BSN program and the leadership courses in the MSN.

Dr. Welch’s research contributions include a doctoral dissertation examining the correlation between emotional intelligence and leadership styles in conflict management among nursing school administrators. Her research was published in the prestigious journal Nursing Education Perspectives of the NLN. She also co-authored a publication on controlling nosocomial mumps outbreaks in the American Journal of Infection Control.

Dr. Welch is frequently looking for innovative teaching methods. She conducted a mini study and introduced VR into prelicensure simulation. She utilizes microlearning in her MSN courses and has implemented creative ways to engage students in online discussion boards.
