Burke Jorgensen

Dr. Burke Jorgensen is an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Utah Tech University and a licensed physical therapist with extensive experience in clinical practice and health professions education. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from Brigham Young University.

Dr. Jorgensen spent nearly a decade practicing in outpatient pediatric rehabilitation, where he developed a strong passion for working with children, families, and students. His clinical background led to his transition into academia, beginning with teaching in the PTA program at Utah Tech University. He later served as an Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Clinical Education at the University of Utah, where he taught across residential and hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy pathways and contributed to curriculum development and clinical education coordination.

His professional interests include pediatric mobility, clinical education, and innovative teaching strategies. Dr. Jorgensen is the founder and director of Utah Tech University’s Go Baby Go program, a service-learning initiative that provides adaptive mobility devices for children while offering students hands-on learning experiences. He is actively involved in professional organizations and is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program Level 1 Trainer through the American Physical Therapy Association.
