I began my career in health sciences in 2002, as an EMT, advancing to an Intermediate-Advanced EMT in 2003 before changing focus and working as a medical assistant (MA). My experience as a MA spurred my interest to pursue a nursing career. I obtained all of my health care related education through Dixie State College/University and am a proud alumni! My nursing career journey officially began with certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in 2008, practical nurse certification (LPN) in 2009, nursing degree (RN) in 2010, and I completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2013. I completed by DNP in Advanced Leadership in Health Care at Regis University in 2023. As a nurse, I have been fortunate to practice in a variety of settings, including oncology, home health/rehab, long-term care, and hospice as well as nursing education. Currently, I teach and Intro to Health Professions course along with oversight and instruction of the CNA program. I enjoy helping students learn and I am committed to students’ success!
